OUR NEXT PROGRAM

SEPTEMBER 19, 2019

w/Featured Guest Speaker

Julienne Davis - Actress, Artist, Activist

Julienne Davis was born in Los Angeles but spent much of her adult life living outside the USA. Although best known as an actress, she has also been a casting director, producer, singer/songwriter, journalist, painter and international fashion model. Highlights of her acting career include the pivotal role of Mandy Curran in Stanley Kubrick’s last film “Eyes Wide Shut” (1999) starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, a major role in “House of 9” starring the late Dennis Hopper and Peter Capaldi (Dr.Who), and being a series regular for the UK BBC comedy series “Too Much Sun” starring Mark Addy and Lee Majors.
Enjoying an artistic lifestyle she spent nearly two decades?working around the world with London, England as her main?base. While in London she became a dual UK/USA citizen, but in 2006 she and her English husband Jay decided to relocate to Los Angeles, where they still reside. Her international lifestyle and experiences gave her a unique view of being an American, and for several years in Europe she saw herself as a liberal.
But the 9/11 terror attacks were a wakeup call and began the journey towards her present conservative beliefs. However, she remained in the closet with her opinions for the sake of her career until she was approached to pen an article for the now defunct libertarian magazine, Heat Street, which led to her coming out as a conservative in Hollywood. An op-ed she wrote for Fox about that experience went viral – causing infamy as her peers and the acting business discovered she was both a conservative and a Trump supporter. The publicity surrounding her article got her exposure on national TV including being publicly “dissed” on the Bill Maher show, something that she sees as a badge of honor!
Although still working in the arts Julienne is also now focused on supporting other conservatives in the industry and hoping to help build a more fair and free industry without leftist bias.
