Giving Back

The West Valley Republican Women Federated is proud to participate in the National Federation of Republican Women’s Caring for America program, dedicated to supporting our deployed U.S. service members and veteran families. Join us in making a difference by donating items for our operations: Care & Comfort care packages collected at our monthly meetings. For our June 19, 2025, collection, we’re embracing a tropical luau theme, seeking small, summery items like fruit-flavored candy, drink mixes, and travel-sized toiletries (no aerosol cans or scented bar soap, please). Other needed items include snacks, hygiene products, and entertainment like cards or puzzles. See our full shopping list for details and help us send love and comfort to those who serve!

The National Federation of Republican Women established the Caring for America program in 1999 to encourage clubs to actively participate in at least one community service program. It is based on the belief that problems can be solved most effectively through the generosity and combined energies of individual citizens.

Donations will be collected at the monthly meetings.

Schedule for contributions for West Valley Republican Women Federated:

June 19, 2025 – collection of donations for Operation: Care & Comfort. The donations of articles of care and comfort for deployed service mombers and veteran families wil be delivered to the office in Hollister and mailed from there. It is suggested we have a theme for our donations. The projected delivery time for June donations is August. I have selected the theme of tropical items for a summery luau theme. This can be anything that is tropical like fruit flavored candy or drink mix. The list of items is attached to assist you. The items will be put in one to 2 gallon goodie bags so smaller items help the bags to have more variety. The bags are sent in the priority mail boxes.

October 16, 2025 – collection of canned goods to be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley.

November 20, 2025 – collection of Toys for Tots.
